1843 is a visual documentation of SONG’s 6 months incarceration journey in Selarang Park Singapore Prison (DRC) through his observations, imaginations, dreams, emotions and frequencies behind bars. This zine is a collage of his journal book given in prison as he continues to create art with the “flexi-pen” and keeping him sane in his time of isolation.
